When I produce certain pdf:s I always choose save them so when they are opened with Reader, the purple "bar" comes up with the Typewriter tool. At least it used to work like that. Now, in the latest version of Reader, the purple "bar" still comes up, but no tool. I had to spend a lot of time to find the tool, and now I am wondering who at Adobe thought that this was a great idea. To hide a great and useful tool so that the person who wants to use it now have to read help files and search for the tool instead of just clicking on the Typewriter tool. I have customers calling me daily looking for it. WHY did Adobe do such an idiotic change????? The biggest question is WHY does the purple bar still show up but without the tool? The text that is shown (can't translate it properly from Swedish) just says that you can "complete the pdf file with the tool Add text (or something like that). No hint as to where that tool is hidden. This makes me so angry!
This is not a question, just an angry comment. Sorry.
It would be interesting to know what Adobe has to say about this...
