How to highlight colorfully easily?

Is there a better way to highlight texts with different colors?

If I want to mark up 3 words each one in a different color it will take me about milion clicks..
Is there a better way instead of marking up first with the default yellowish.. than right click on it, Properties.. select color, accept,

go for the next word, mark up again with the default yellow............ and so on..
Can I simply add another highlight button for the quick tools toolbar with a different color?
So I will have like 5 highlights shortcuts with different color each one..?
Or anything else...
