I would like to describe an issue I am facing - maybe someone knows this issue....
I created a dynamic stamp in Acrobat 3D 8.1 using Thom Parkers book "All About PDF Stamps..." and this stamp is working properly ( it comes up with a dialog.asking for user input and places username and date on the stamp ).
However, when this stamp is applied the filesize of the PDF file getting stamped is increasing by approx. 1.5MB, but I can not see what is causing this increase in filesize.
I did some tests and found out that the dialog seems to be the cause for this behaviour, if I leave the JavaScript part for the dialog out, this will not happen.
Further I did some tests using different Adobe products to apply the stamp onto a sample PDF.
Using a base PDF file, opening it in target application, place the stamp and perform a SaveAs to a new file.
The base PDF has 52KB,
my stampfile itself has 520KB, apllying the stamp using
- Acrobat 3D 8.1 produces a new PDF file of 150KB
- Acrobat Reader XI and Acrobat Reader DC both result in a file of 1.393KB
I could not find a way to upload my files to this thread, is this not possible ?
Any clues how to resolve this ?
