Is there any way for a linked or inserted PDF to automatically update?
In this specific situation, we have ten chapters that all make up a book. The whole book is kept in one folder and the chapters are kept in another; so there's a "book" pdf and a "chapter 1" pdf and a "chapter 2" pdf and so on. Currently when we make changes to "chapter 2", the process is to make those changes in "chapter 2", save the file, open "book", select all the pages for the second chapter, and replace them with "chapter 2". I find this very tedious (it's time consuming and sometimes people don't update "book" after a chapter is updated and then the boss wants to know why the changes haven't been made).
Is there any way that these files can be connected somehow so that when "chapter 2" is updated, "book" is automatically updated with it?
