We have created a WebDAV share for Shared Review. When we publish a pdf to the web share, it only created the pdf document, not the related xml file. It did not allow you to connect to the server through acrobat with the error "Could not get new comments. Adobe Reader cannot access the network. Please verify your computer's network connection and try again."
We uninstalled request filtering and flipped on basic authentication as well, after this it is hit or miss when we publish a pdf and the .xml file is created. When the .xml file is created in relation to the pdf, we have no problem connecting to the server through acrobat and adding comments and pulling the comments down.
When the .xml is not created we get the "could not get new comments.." error. We have verified permissions across IIS, ntfs, and the share. When we map to the webshare through finder or through a mapped network drive, we can create files no problem.
We also adjusted the applicationhost.config to turn off request filtering and still not 100% luck.
