I have created a shared review using Acrobat XI Standard saving it on a locally shared folder. I've added a few comments and "Published" them via Standard's yellow toolbar containing the "Check for New COmments" & "Publish Comments" buttons.
When I re-open the shared review in Standard I can see my own comments have been saved.
Best I know people invited to reviews should be able to see and comment using Reader. The following shows that Standard and Pro both support "Manage shared reviews, collecting everyone's feedback in one PDF and letting reviewers build on one another's comments‡" @ http://www.adobe.com/products/acrobat/product-comparison.html
Others who are invited to and receive the email I send to ask they provide comments who open the shared review using Reader XI do not get the initial dialog welcoming them to the shared review, they do not get the yellow toolbar which has the "Check for New COmments" & "Publish Comments" buttons, and they cannot see my previously saved shared comments.
I used to use the feature of Acrobat at a past job, ~3 years ago, and it worked great.
I can't get past the 1st hurdle here. i.e., the folks who I invite simply can't see my comments
Any help appreciated.
If you're going to tell me that Pro is required to initiate a shared review please provide proof; I had a colleague who has Pro initiate a review for me and I opened the shared review document w/Reader XI from the email he sent and saw the same issue, I didn't get the welcome to a shared review announcement in Reader nor did I get the yellow toolbar which has the "Check for New COmments" & "Publish Comments" buttons.
Thanks for any help...
Alex
