(re)Connection issues with shared pdf / WebDav server

WebDav server installed and initial connections accepted for shared .pdf document, but reconnecting to same server for additional annotations is coming up with permissions errors. On a 64 bit Linux machine, using Adobe Reader 9 (last available version before Adobe stopped supporting Linux), when I delete the 'Workflows' files in the <Collab> directory, and reboot the machine, I can reconnect and add comments no problem. However, on the initiating Mac Yosemite v.10.10.2, using Adobe Acrobat Pro X v.10.1.13, deleting the 'Workflows' file/reboot workaround does not work.

I believe that both the Reader 9 and Acrobat Pro are sending an incorrect user credential. The server information in the WorkFlows file is correct, but the ID is a hashed value and from reading the documentation it looks like it uses the information in the 'Identity' preferences/AppleID as the permanent ID.

Anyone else encountered? Any other workarounds?

Also, the initial settings were set to save the userID/server credentials -> it is there that I believe the ID's got swapped. but I'm not given the option to 'unsave' those credentials to test that theory.

Thanks!
