When Acrobat DC became available I installed it, but am finding it more trouble than it is worth. It occasionally crashes when saving scanned documents. Sometimes several times in a matter of minutes. I have noticed that it often happens when the program has just converted an image to text, a functionality I appear not to be able to turn off. I have searched for a way, and if anyone knows how, I'll be very grateful for the information.
I uninstalled Acobat DC and reinstalled version 9.3. But now I am unable to view pdf files in Internet Explorer while on line. When downloading a pdf file, this download stalls after downloading a couple of hundred bytes - every time. So I HAD to reinstall the DC version for this task (downloading a subscription magazine in pdf format). But as DC continually crashes on me, I had to uninstall it again and use 9.3.As I subscribe to Adobe products via their cloud, this means downloading the DC version every time I need to use it, which is also frustrating.
I was hoping that Adobe had worked out some sort of fix for my problem with their DC version, but this has not happened in the month I suffered from the DC crashes. Every time it crashes I 'send a report' rather than just closing the program. Checking for updates, there were none.
