I need to add comments to a PDF by using the highlight text tool and writing in the comments panel. These comments all begin with same text of "Query" and then a number. This query number refers to a Word document. The queries on the PDF are in numerical order as you go through the PDF so for example, if the first query on a document was on P3, it would be query 1 and if the next was on P5, it would be query 2.
At the moment I type the comment numbers manually so they match the Word document. The difficulty is when I notice a query I missed in the middle of other queries, it means I need to manually amend all the comments on the PDF to allow for this. In Word I use the numbered bullets to keep a track of the numbers so as soon as I insert a new query it automatically updates the numbering.
I wondered whether there was anything like this for Acrobat to save me time and having to cross check. I thought maybe as they all start with the same word, you could do some sort of search to say number all comments beginning with "Query" in chronological order as they appear in the PDF?
Many thanks for any advice.
